lil update.

Olivia is back in dance class! This time she is taking Jazz! Her first class was tonight and I was worried about how she would like it. (they have funny shoes and she's very picky with her style)

She came out of the class with a huge smile on her face and couldn't wait to show me her "funny shoes!" Then she was giggling on the ride home and I asked what was so funny and she replies, "My teacher said she almost didn't recognize me b/c I have grown, and I told her... I KNOW! That's bc I am 5 NOW!"
She is so cute! ;)
The boys and I have been doing a lot of daytime activities while Olivia is in school. The other day, we took a walk from our house to the Camelot park! They rode in the wagon and let me tell you, Whew! GREAT workout!!! (ps. I am watching what I eat and I'm exersizing more!) Anyway, we had a great adventure when Channing found a snail and wanted to name him "Gary!" lol! (too much SB!)
It was crazy how he found the small little creature. I never would have seen it. He just happened to look down in our driveway and he said, "HEY MOM! Is that like Gary from Spongebob!?" I had NO clue what he was even talking about until I looked at what he was pointing at! Channing picked "gary" up and placed him in the grass so he could be safe at home. He's so sweet!
The picture of the boys' room is me showing off my latest garage sale find!! woohoo! I spent $4 total on these shower curtains and they fit perfectly in the boys' room!!! They were brand new! Can't beat that!! :) :) We did great on the sales last weekend! I found Olivia a ton of fall/winter clothes! We wiped out all of her smaller sized clothes/shoes/coats/etc and took them with us to Ohio to give to Arin!! Olivia is growing like a weed! We've been really lucky with our garage sale clothing finds as well! Lots of Gymboree, Gap, Children's place and old navy!

Goodbye Summer.

The kids and I just got back from our Ohio trip this past Tuesday! We went up Last Friday and stayed with Julie, Arin and Henry while her husband was on his annual Canada Fishing/camping trip! We had a great time! Julie and I are really close and I'm so glad that our friendship has become as strong as it is! I would wish her kind of friendship onto anyone! :)

The kids had a BLAST! We crammed a ton in those few days we were there. We hit the malls, the splash park, Mcdonalds play area, Galaxy Games and Golf and other misc things! What a fun time! Julie and I got to hang out after the kids went to bed and we just sat on the back deck and talked away! I love that! I wish she was closer. It was really hard to leave. tears were shed.

Galaxy Golf and Games was SO much fun! Even the adults can get in on the gym time! We were running around like kids, playing hide n seek, sliding down the slides, playing in the ball pit! How much fun it was!

I was very impressed with their prices!

The drive home from Ohio was very exhausting. The kids were fighting about anything and everything and Gavin had these loud screaming fits for 20 min at a time. I was ready to pull my hair out. We made it home safe and sound in time for the kids to hop into bed. Olivia started kindergarten the very next day!!

Olivia's first day was on Wed the 19 and it was for half day. Parents were allowed to stay with their child and see what kindergarten was all about! I went and my dad came and stayed with the boys! Olivia LOVED it! She made some new friends and was so excited! She loves her teacher!
She is going a full day of Kindergarten now and I worried a little about it being a long day but so far, she is still excited! She runs off the bus with a happy smile on her face and is excited to tell me about her day!

Our house is so much different without Olivia. She must be the life of the house. The boys are so much quieter then Olivia so the house stays pretty quiet. The boys are content playing in their room while I clean, which is nice b/c they aren't all fighting for my attention. Don't get me wrong, I miss Olivia so much when she's not here but I could tell that she was getting bored being at home. she loves a good challenge and putting her mind to things!
Channing went to the Dr the other day. He has swimmer's ear. He has drops for them. He weighs 29 lbs and is 44.5 inches. He has been eating a lot more lately so hopefully he is finally going through a growth spurt!
Gavin is a bully! He is always on the go! He loves getting into EVERYTHING! He's saying more words and likes to do what his siblings do. When it comes time to brush teeth. Gavin knows to spit in the toilet and then he wipes his mouth after he's done. Just like Olivia and channing do. It's so funny!
Anyway, I'm thinking about having Channing screened to start preschool? Still thinking about it but hopefully if anything it will just put him on a waiting list for next year! I still think 3 is young to start school. Unless need be.....

Where did the summer go?

Wow! Where did the summer go? August is here, already.

Now to bring everyone up to speed with the kids.

Olivia is our little fish! She LOVES the water! Ever since Swimming lessons she has faced her fear with putting her head underwater and now she's swimming! She still needs more lessons but for what she has accomplished in the 2 weeks of lessons, amazes me! Today, she impressed me and her grandma by swimming to us underwater without plugging her nose!! She can also go underwater to retrieve the little swimming toys! She's very excited about that!

Channing is still in need of lessons! We let him jump in and he still doesn't know how to come back up. Of course, we were right there so no worries! He has fun jumping in, he goes all the way under and we bring him back up! He wants to swim so badly but he really does need more instruction with that!

Tuesday morning kids for our church is coming to an end this Tues.... They are having their water day on this day since it rained last week. Last week the kids were able to claim their prizes for attendence!! They have had a lot of fun with that! Great social interaction!

Olivia is all registered for school now and she couldn't be happier. I'm still sad to think she's done staying home with me. Now, it's going to be me and the boys until Channing goes away to preschool next year. Olivia will be in school all day long! She starts on the 20th.

The kids and I are taking our last trip of the summer. To Ohio! We are going to stay with our good friend Julie while her husband is on his annual Canada trip! We are so excited for this trip! The kids are anxious to play with their friends, Arin and Henry! Those days in Ohio are going to be jam packed with activities! :) :)

I might be watching a 10 yr old boy during the school year. Just before and after school. Bring in a little extra money for me. I'm really interested in going back to school. Something along the lines of writing/journalism or whatever I can make my mind up with! I'm very interested in starting a great career now that my babies are growing up! I'm excited for this and when I put my heart into something, I can usually get it accomplished! Wish me luck!!! :)

I am still an Independent Beauty Consultant in Mary Kay but it's really hard when I'm not getting the support I need from it. It is starting to pick back up!

Gavin is growing up way too fast and let me tell you, he is one tough kid. He's also an ornery little booger. He laughs when he gets into trouble. He's into EVeRYTHING. I am constantly on the go with this little guy. He speaks pretty clearly and is so smart. He points and says, "doggy" when he sees one. He says "DADDY" plain as day. He responds to everything. You ask him to throw something away, he does it. You ask him to get you something, he gets it. You ask him where something is, he shows you. He LOVES playing hide n seek. In fact, all the kids do! We have a good time with that! Lots of fun places to hide in the house and they LOVE trying to find me. when they do, I jump out and scare them! They all go trucking down the hall screaming and laughing! So much fun! I love these moments! I love being a mom!!

Channing refuses to take baths. He is a shower boy. He LOVES taking showers. Actually, he's been this way for quite some time now. Gavin is the only one that gets a bath! Olivia does a great job getting herself washed up in the shower. She's so independent.

well, that's about all I have for now. Until next time.....
