Olivia is now jumping off the side of the pool into the water, on her own! She wears a swimming vest and even jumped off of the diving board! I was really impressed! I have been having a hard time with her lately on her listening skills. She thinks she runs the place sometimes and I have to step in. It's becoming quite the challenge. My friend Brandy and I took the kids to watch a Peoria Chiefs baseball game. It was a lot of fun! The kids ran around and played and watched some baseball! They had Christmas in June tonight so Santa made his appearance and they also had the "zoo"per stars there. Very enteraining!

Gavin
The other day, the kids and I went to my parents' house to celebrate a late Father's day. Gavin was still excited from the weekend when I took them to Steamboat days on the riverfront. He would talk a lot about the ice cream and dancing, music and the motorcycles. We were all gathered around the livingroom and I said, "Gavin, Tell grandma and papa what you had to eat at Steamboat days." Gavin took one long look at me, put his hands in the air and tilted his head to the side and very loudly exclaimed, "Booogers."
Everyone got a good laugh. He comes up with some goofy things!
Heat wave.
These last few days, weeks, I should say have been HOT. The humidity has been making it hard to go outside and enjoy the day. I have been taking the kids swimming but some days it's not so fun swimming on a hot day when the water feels like bath water. We took the kids to see Toy Story 3 the other day and they LOVED it! It was a really good movie.
The kids and I head for Ohio in a few weeks. We plan on staying about a week with our good friend, Julie and her kids. Mike, her husband will be out of town on a fishing trip. We plan on taking the kids to all of the fun places we would visit when we lived there. The kids are so excited! :) It will be nice to get away just the kids and I!

Summer jams!
Last night, my friend Brandy and I took the kids downtown to the Riverfront to watch some GREAT local bands! The kids had a blast dancing and running around. They got to play in the splashpark and just be kids! I have never seen Channing run so fast and it made me laugh. He just had this big open field and took off running! Olivia let loose and danced! Such a great evening! :)

Happy Birthday, Channing!!!!
Tuesday, June 8, 2010
We have been really busy. I am working now. We have a babysitter who comes to the house and helps out with the kids from 1:30-5. They really like her. I love working! I feel great being out of the house and around adults! I DO miss the kids like crazy, but it's a good break! Plus, I LOVE having money in my pockets and not having to ask all of the time for money.
We are celebrating Channing's 4th Birthday this Sunday! Hard to believe he's going to be 4 already! He wanted a Spongebob party but then he changed his mind once he saw the Toy Story invites and party supplies.
we had some really nasty weather here a few days ago. Tornados touching down all around us and my best friends' husband's family restaurant sits in ruins. SO sad. :(
Gavin is getting better and better at the potty training! I know it won't be long. He's talking a lot more. He loves to grab your head and give you hugs. He sings. Loves books, cars, playing outside, riding bikes, etc.
