end of Tball party!
Friday night Olivia's Tball team had a swimming party with all of the other local Tball teams! They were given their trophies and Olivia was so proud! She makes me so proud! She has also come such a long way with swimming since last year! She was in swimming lessons last year and was told she would need to take them again bc she would not put her head underwater. This year, we have been far too busy to include swimming lessons in our schedule however, that has not stopped Olivia from learning. She is now swimming underwater without plugging her nose and jumping in! She LOVES the water!

Our 4th of July went really well! We met with Friends and Family at a local park and had a nice cookout! The kids got to play for a few hours and by the time it was time for the fireworks, they were out of energy! :) We went to the Downtown Peoria riverfront to watch the awesome display of fireworks! The kids loved them! Gavin covered his ears for a good portion of the time but settled once he was in uncle Jsaon's lap!
Tomorrow morning the kids and I head for a week of fun in Ohio!

We had Quite the scare the other night with Gavin. He woke up Tues night with a barking, loud cough. When I went to check on him, he was burning up. I brought him out to the couch so that I could take his temp. and he started crying and showing signs of having difficulty breathing. I immediately rushed him to the hospital while Mike stayed home with the other 2.
Gavin's temp was taken at the hospital and showed 104. His heart rate was very high. The nurse said that the high heart rate was more then likely the fever and how upset Gavin was. She gave some tylenol and we waited for an hour before we were taken back. The Dr ordered chest x rays to make sure he didn't have pnemonia and his lungs were clear, Thank God!
Gavin was then given a small dose of steroids to open his lungs so he could breathe easier. The Dr said that he has the start of Croup and I was lucky to get him in right on the first sign of it because they were able to control it before it got worse.
We got back from the hospital around 5 Am. Luckily, Gavin and I were able to sleep in for a bit. He woke up extremely hyper. He was feeling better for the most part and no fever.
Today, he woke up with another high fever, Nose drainage, and a productive cough. He is also chewing on his fingers a lot so I'm guessing he is teething on top of it.
I'm praying that tomorrow is a better day with no fevers involved. :(
