Yesterday, Channing ended his last day of Preschool with a play, song, and then they had an Ice cream social! It was such a bittersweet day! He said he's going to miss his 2 favorite teachers. Since Channing has been in preschool, he has learned how to write his first and last name, all of his colors and shapes. He still struggles with recognizing letters and numbers but I will work with him on that during the summer! He has learned to be more social and make new friends! (he used to be very shy and sort of keep to himself in the beginning). His class had a Nutritionist come once a week and opened him up to trying new foods. He will now try new things and he isn't as picky as he used to be! Awesome! Today, when we woke up, he thought he had school. I told him that yesterday was his last day. He said he was sad.

Last night, Olivia had her first baseball game of the season! She did AWESOME! I'm so proud of her! Originally, the ball team was supposed to be Coed.. when we got to her first practice, we realized that Olivia and her BFF Emily, were the only 2 girls on the team. Olivia was ok with that. She can really hold her on and she actually hits the ball! It's coaches pitch. Last night, Olivia hit a double hitter!! It was so exciting to watch her play! It was last night, we realized that there were no other girls on the opposing team. Olivia says she loves baseball so we will continue to let her play! I always loved playing baseball when I was a kid! I preferred it over softball!!!

Olivia did AWESOME at her Dance Rehearsal and Recital! The song they performed to was Ice Ice Baby! :) She absolutely loves Jazz dance and next Season, she wants to give Ballet a try, too!
Olivia has started playing on a Coed baseball team. She and her best friend Emily are the only girls on the team. I wasn't sure how Olivia would feel being one of the only girls, but she is fine with it. I have had to miss watching 2 of her practices and when the coach dropped her off, he told me that she has an arm on her and she is very good for a "girl"!! Her first game is on Tuesday. Her last day of school is Thursday. She got to pick out a brand new bike today because she outgrew her 16' bike.

Channing also picked a new bike today. Channing retired his Spiderman bike to Gavin. Tuesday is Channing's last day of preschool. Sooo hard to believe! I get to go up on his last day for an Ice cream social and little Ceremony! The best part of Bright Futures preschool program is that Channing is now writing his full name, he recognizes letters, he is learning to spell a few words and he is more open to trying new foods. They had a Nutritionist visit the class once a week and she would bring in healthy foods for the class to try. Channing, being the picky eater he is, started to try these new foods and is now eating much better! What a difference!
Channing changed his mind about TBALL this year. He said he doesn't want to get all "Hot and sweaty." Maybe next year?

Gavin will be our little boy athlete, he's all about sports! We went outside the other day and threw a few balls to the kids to bat, Gavin hit all of them. He was pumped! lol! He said he wants to play ball now but unfortunately, he has to wait until he is 4.
Gavin will be screened for Preschool in June. Mrs. Schelkopf *channing's teacher* says she can't wait to have him. She says it's going to be sad that this will be the "last" Pendleton to be in her class.
Gavin has been a great eater like Olivia. They are both really great about trying anything and liking what they are given.
It's very hard to believe this school year is over. Bring on Summer! :)

Happy Mother's day!
I requested to work the Brunch shift on Mother's day! When I got home, the kids made a Mother's day card for me! They also got me a new Cannon camera to take better pictures! I was very surprised! I'm very excited to get a new camera! I have been wanting a nicer camera that takes better pictures for awhile now.
Here's an update on the kiddos!
Channing is all registered for Kindergarten and he is very excited! He was going to play Tball this year for the first time and then right when I was getting ready to sign him up he asked me, "Mom, will I get all hot and sweaty when I play ball." I told him probably and he changed his mind. He said he doesn't want to play this summer but maybe next Summer. He went to the Dentist last month and the Dentist said he has perfect teeth. She said that all of his teeth are perfectly spaced apart that he may not need braces when he gets older. Wish that was the same news for the other 2.
In a few weeks I will be registering Gavin for Preschool. Little man is going to go for 2 years and because he is potty trained now, he can go in at the age of 3. He definitely will benefit from 2 years so he can learn to take direction and authority from someone other than mom and dad. Gavin is still a bit rambunctious and definitly ALL boy! He loves to get dirty and play in the mud. The other day we were out in the yard and I was throwing a ball around for them to hit with a bat. Gavin cranked the balls everytime they were thrown to him! It's too bad he cant' play Tball right now. He would have a blast!
Gavin loves playing with his backpack! He loads it up with toys and carries it everywhere. He's very imaginative. He likes to play make believe.
Olivia starts her practice for baseball today! She is very excited!
She has 2 dance lessons left before her big recital! She can't wait to be on stage. She said she wants to dance again next year. She is going to say in Jazz but also would like to take Ballet!
The other day I told her that her hair needs a trim, it's down the middle of her back. She told me that she wants Repunzel hair and she does not want it cut. she cracks me up. She still loves playing with Barbies and the only dolls she likes to play with are soft dolls with yarn hair. I wish she played with baby dolls but she tells me they are boring. :(

Only 3 weeks left of school! The kids are ready for Summer! Hard to believe Olivia will be in 2nd grade in the Fall!!

These past few weeks have been crazy busy and it's only going to stay busy! Last week, the family and I took a trip to N. Carolina to visit Mike's sisters and their families! It was a very nice trip and it was great getting all of the cousins together at once for the first time! They all had a great time!

This weekend, Olivia had her Girl Scout Bridging ceremony. She graduated from being a Daisy and is now a Brownie! She absolutely loves being in Girl Scouts and it's so good for her!

In a few weeks our community is having their annual garage sales, so we are getting ready for that. In that same weekend, Olivia has her dance recital! She has decided that next year she will take Jazz again along with Ballet.

Olivia will also be starting softball this summer. She really enjoyed Tball last year. Let's hope she gets over her fear of the ball coming at her! We have a lot of practice to be done in the front yard! ;) Channing was going to play Tball this year, but after asking if it would make him hot and sweaty, he changed his mind. ??
