A normal 3 hour trip to Chicago, took 5! Stuck in accident traffic, the girls and I all had a very memorable trip full of laughs! Hannah, the little girl riding in our car, had to pee really bad and couldn't hold it. Our next exit was in about 2 miles. However, we were not moving in the traffic. We decided that she should just pee in a cup. With the help of her mother, she successfully managed to use the restroom without peeing her pants or messing everywhere! After about an hour, Cyndi, who was sitting in the Passenger seat, looked over with a funny look on her face and I could see the car next to us has a man just staring out the window at us, smiling. It was like something out of a scary movie. We laughed so hard I thought for sure we were all going to have to grab a cup ourselves! lol.
We left for our trip at 5:30 in the morning, we stopped at a mcds for breakfast, our arrival time was supposed to be 8:45, we did not get there until about 11.

The Shedd Aquarium was really nice! The girls had a blast! I definitely look forward to going back with my whole family. I know the boys would really enjoy it, too! As we were leaving, we visited the Gift shop and took a few pictures outside. We could not believe how long the line was to get into the Aquarium. It's definitly a shock when you are in a big city! Sadly, we did not see Vince Vaugn!

The kids and I had a great visit with our good friend Julie and her kids; Arin, Henry and Billy! Julie drove down Sunday evening and they stayed until Wed morning. The kids had a blast playing together. They sure miss each other. Julie is my Great friend from Ohio. Her husband befriended us while selling us our house. Ever since, they have been like my family. The kids and I will make our annual trip to Ohio for the week with the Gunnarsons in August!

The first picture is just funny! Mike put on the kids' Batman mask along with a blanket cape and was chasing the kids around the house. lol.

The rest of the pictures are from WildLife Prairie State Park! I took the kids and they did very well! Usually I have a wagon with me in case one of the kids gets tired. We walked Trails, played at Parks, played on the big slide, rode the train. I will be posting all of our pics to snapfish soon!

Olivia loves Baseball!!! She is already talking about playing again next year!

June...
The kids had a great time catching FireFlies Tonight! Gavin was getting a little frustrated when he would find one, only to have Olivia or Channing grab it away. They were running all over and squeeling with delight as each bug lit up!

June 11th We celebrated Channing's 5th Birthday at Chuck E Cheese. This is Channing's First year to have his birthday somewhere other than home. It all started when my friend Josh had his party at Chuck E Cheese and got to go inside of the Ticket Blaster! lol.
Channing got into the Ticket Blaster and was able to get 450 worth of tickets.
It was a great day and a great turnout! Happy Birthday little man! :)

It has been so nice living in this neighborhood and having access to a pool! The kids will all 3 take swimming lessons next month. Olivia is a pretty good swimmer, I just want her to learn to dive off the diving board and be able to swim in deep water more comfortably. Channing, well....he pretty much taught himself to swim this year. Mom took him and the other 2 swimming last week and she said he was jumping in and going under water and swimming.... when we all went the other day, sure enough he was a little fishy. Today, we went swimming and Channing was able to play with his friends in the pool. They were all going underwater for the swim toys. I was very impressed! He wanted to go off of the diving board today but I told him I would rather wait until after he learned in Swimming lessons! Gavin was trying to teach himself to put his head underwater today but he doesn't understand that he has to keep his mouth closed and not suck water in! lol!

Memorial day weekend was spent swimming, riding bikes, and ending the day with a cookout at my parent's house! It was a very nice time! :) Grandma chased the kids all over the yard, tickled them and had them squeeling with delight! Food was great and the quality family time was even better! :)
