update.

It's a Beautiful Fall day here!
Today, I became a member of our church! The kids and I went to church this morning and had a very nice time. Channing decided he is too old for the Nursery so he asked if he could go into Sunday School with Olivia. May (the teacher) Said he could try it and she said he's definitely ready! He was so excited to tell me about what they learned! He's growing too fast! What 3 year old does NOT like the Nursery!? ;)
Olivia has a Loose Tooth!! She is so excited! A lot of her classmates and friends have missing teeth and now that she knows she will be missing a tooth has her all excited! The kids go to the Dentist on Monday for a check up and cleaning! They are very excited for that as well! They Love the Dentist! (Lets hope it stays this way!)
Gavin is feeling better and back to his normal little self!! The meds have kicked in and he's back at it! His vocabulary is stretching! His new favorite sayings, "I want one." and "Do it again." It's hilarious!

They are all so excited for Halloween to come! They were going to be the theme from Wizard of Oz but then they decided something different!

Channing has been telling me that he no longer wants his Race car bed. I took it down yesterday and re arranged the boys' room. We are now on the hunt for Bunk Beds! Gavin is starting to climb up his crib now and we fear he may fall and get hurt. Hard to believe! It will be weird to not have a crib in the house!
Until next time........

Gavin had to go to the Dr today for an ear infection. He is also teething and just not feeling like his little self. He weighed in at 22 lbs 5oz. Still our tiny little thing!
The Dr put him on Omnicef so hopefully he's back to himself in no time!

My friend and I are doing a work out program together and I joined her for Body Jam the other night! Whew! Awesome Work out! I'm going to try to keep going with her! We walk everyday while Olivia is in school. I pull the boys in the wagon while she pulls her daughter in her wagon and we huff and puff up the hills!! ;) I'm so excited to find a friend that has given me so much motivation!!!

Channing looks forward to story time/craft at the library! He does very well listening and interacting!

We went to church last Sunday for the first time in a long while and during the Children's service, Channing asked the Pastor where her daddy was. lol. Had the whole congregation laughing!

Olivia is learning patterns, rhymes, couting, reading and math. She is so smart!

UpDaTe.

Olivia can tie now! She pretty much taught herself during naptime. She came running out of her room to show me that she had tied the string to her dress! I was very proud of her! We tried the shoes today but I think she might need a little more practice on smaller strings!
Speaking of naptime, the boys are still taking great naps! I'm very thankful that I have that time during the day for myself!

I found a friend that is keeping me motivated in losing weight!! Tracy is a member for life in Weight watchers and she has been showing me how to count my points! We try to walk/workout whenever she has a day off! I have claimed her as my personal trainer! She has 2 little girls. One is around Olivia's age and the other is 10! the kids play well together! I'm hoping to lose weight before mom and I go on our shopping trip next month!!

This past weekend we had a garage sale! The first time for me to run one by myself with 3 kids at bay. lol. It went really well! We sold quite a bit and the kids didn't do too bad! I thought for sure Olivia would have a huge pile of toys on the deck like last year, but she knows that Santa needs her to make room for new toys!
Still trying to decide halloween costumes! We are wanting to do another theme but not sure what yet. Olivia keeps changing her mind!

Hard to believe Gavin will be 18 months soon.

Library time!

Wed. afternoons are now going to be spent taking the boys to story time at the library! I was skeptical at first b/c Gavin can get REALLY loud. He likes to scream when he's excited! A friend of mine and her little girl were going and so I thought we'd try it out! Channing did very well sitting and listening to the story. He did have a sensitive moment when one of the library helpers yelled at him to face forward. This really upset him and made him cry and he wanted to go home. I convinced him to stay. When the story was over they did a fun craft! Gavin and I waited in the children part of the library and Gavin had a lot of fun picking out books to read and playing with the library toys!

Pendleton update

We have been keeping plenty busy these last few weeks. Lots of fun festivals, parks and school activities have been keeping us on the go! Olivia is loving Jazz dance class! She said she didn't like tap. I'm glad she has found something she enjoys! She is talking about playing softball in the spring! Oh and she wants to be a cheerleader. That is her latest interest!
She is doing good so far in school (from what she tells me.) we'll just have to wait and see what her teacher says at conference time in a few weeks! ;) She recently got her hair all chopped off! She originally went in for a trim and didn't want to leave until her hair came off. She said she was tired of it long. It looks cute. I do miss her long hair though! ;)
She is starting to spell out words and she writes the alphabet in order now. She still LOVES playing with Barbies. She's still not into baby dolls. She would rather play with stuffed animals as her "babies" she LOVES reading and sometimes you will find her curled up in her bed just reading away! :)
Channing is going through a phase where he will say his "tummy hurts' just to get out of doing things. At first, I was concerned thinking something was wrong but when I realized he was telling me this more when I ask him to do something, I knew.. such as asking him to eat his food, take a drink or clean his room his tummy all of a sudden aches. If you ask him if he wants ice cream, then he's better! lol! He plays really well with Gavin during the day. I try to get them out around other kiddos to socialize as much as possible. He will be going to preschool next year and I'm so glad we never got that call back for him to go this year. I'm just not ready to send him quite yet! He's starting to wear 4T in shirts! He's getting pretty tall. 44 inches the last time we were at the Dr.
He LOVES the outdoors and playing in dirt. He hasn't parted with his McDonald's happy meal Lego car since he got it a few weeks back so I'm thinking this year Santa might bring him some Lego's. He wakes up in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep until it's in his hand again. He LOVES pizza!
Gavin, Mr. Meanie. I'm not even kidding you. He will come up and out of nowhere do something ornery, then smirk at you. Nothing phases that kid. He's sweet as can be but man! He's a handful! lol! He's into everything. We have to take Olivia's night light out of her wall when she's not home or else he's in there playing with it. He unrolls the toilet paper. Tries to play in the toilet. He throws things. He hits. He jumps off of things. I give him time outs. Lately I have been putting him in his crib when he misbehaves and that is starting to help out. He is going to outgrow Channing. I can see that happening. Gavin LOVES mashed potatoes! lol! I've never seen anything like it. He will even pick up his plate to lick it clean. When he seen Channing wasn't eating his, Gavin pointed and said, "More." He Loves playing in the dirt being outside. He loves cars and trucks and all the fun boy stuff. He follows channing around and they create trouble together. He sees that Channing takes a car to bed so Gavin will run into the room at bedtime and yell, "CAR CAR." then he picks one up and wants to sleep with it. He runs right to his crib, lifts his arms up in the air so I can put him into his bed! He still wakes up around the same time every night but after that he goes right back to sleep until about 9 am.
This past Monday for Labor day, Mom and I took the kids to Fall Fest in Delavan Illinois. We go there every year and the kids LOVE it! We watched the parade and got enough candy to last through Halloween. The kids rode rides and spent the day just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful weather! Channing got his face painted up like a Tiger and made front page of the Pekin times paper the next day! Olivia was going to get a butterfly on her face but then changed her mind saying she would be too embarrassed. Oh the things she comes up with! Mike was on call that day so he didn't join us.
